Community Chaplain Program

Overview

Volunteer community rabbis provide pastoral counseling in a variety of settings, including hospitals, assisted living facilities, homes, jails and prisons.

Prison Chaplaincy

Rabbis Linda and Larry Seidman provide pastoral counseling to over 120 Jewish inmates who are incarcerated in the Orange County jails. They also work with jail administration to protect the rights of Jewish inmates; for example, they have facilitated Jewish inmates’ access to kosher food, including kosher-for-Passover meals.
