The mission of Silver Streak is to keep seniors and people with disabilities healthy, independent and connected to things that give life meaning and purpose.
Silver Streak helps older adults, 60+, who cannot drive (or who are cutting down on driving long distances or driving at night) maintain their connections to friends and family, be active and involved in the community, run important errands, and attend medical and social service appointments. The program also serves individuals under 60 with temporary and permanent disabilities
You can arrange a group trip to any destination in Orange County as long as the people who are riding are seniors who have difficulty driving.
Volunteers provide personalized escort anywhere in Orange County.
Individuals, organizations and agencies can call to arrange a regularly scheduled shuttle service for seniors over 60 who no longer drive.
Eligible seniors can purchase discounted taxi vouchers for rides throughout Orange County. Taxi vouchers can only be used with California Yellow Cab.
